The Sports Governance College™ is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professionalism in the governance of Sports organizations of all sizes – local, provincial and national. At The Sports Governance College, we know that being a member of the Board of Directors of a Sports organization is a challenging and important job – and we provide tools to help directors excel in the boardroom.

Our Purpose

To help Board members of Sports organizations become better Directors through both education and peer networking.

Our educational programs are characterized by candid discussions in an interactive forum with directors and executive directors who are leading Sports organizations through major opportunities, challenges, and crises. We showcase individuals who have thoroughly revised governance practices in the cultures of their respective organizations, and markedly improved the effectiveness of their boards, their advisory groups, and their institutions. While many issues in sports governance remain controversial, the objective of our educational programs is to acquaint participants with their governance options, their implementation, best practices, and their consequences.
